Financial Conflict of Interest (PDF): A prime component of the mission of the Treatment Research Institute (TRI) is the translation of research results into practical applications for the public good. Investigators at TRI are encouraged to develop a body of research that is consistent with this mission. One of the foundations of TRI research is its credibility and frankness, free from external bias. TRI is committed to ensuring that research is carried out under the highest standards of ethical conduct. Thus it is appropriate that whenever research or other creative activity is sponsored externally or with TRI resources, that there be a full and appropriate disclosure of financial interests which may affect the conduct of the research or other activity and that conflicts which do arise be managed appropriately.
